Rebecca Solnit

Rebecca Solnit is an American writer, historian, and activist based in San Francisco. She is the author of more than twenty books including A Field Guide to Getting Lost, A Paradise Built in Hell, and Men Explain Things to Me. Her 2008 essay helped give the concept of mansplaining its cultural currency. She is one of the most important essayists working in English today.
