Jill Christman

Jill Christman is an American essayist and memoirist whose work sits at the intersection of personal narrative, literary criticism, and formal experimentation. She is the author of Darkroom: A Family Exposure, which won the AWP Award Series in Creative Nonfiction, and If This Were Fiction: A Love Story in Essays, published by the University of Nebraska Press. Christman teaches creative writing at Ball State University and is known for pushing the essay form toward new possibilities of structure and meaning.
