Diane Seuss

Diane Seuss is an American poet born and raised in rural Michigan. Her collection frank: sonnets, published by Graywolf Press in 2021, won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the PEN/Voelcker Award for Poetry Collection, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Poetry. Her work is known for its unflinching examination of poverty, addiction, grief, and desire, rendered in a formally rigorous sonnet sequence that draws on the traditions of the form while refusing its gentilities. She is the author of four previous collections and teaches in the MFA program at Kalamazoo College.
